Honestly we were not prepared for how many people said no. We just weren't completely psychologically prepared to deal with that level of rejection, especially in our own neighborhood during a heatwave. But in our darkest hour, something truly magical happened. The universe aligned. They say you should never get in a stranger's car, but today we did exactly that, and then we let that stranger inside our house.
